Glassware tasteoff

If it has anything to do with wine, we want to know about it!

they work fine in dish washer, but i hand wash, which is quick and easy, just warm water and a hint of soap, cold rinse.

I was told if you continually dish-washer them, the rims will go white (?)

actually, we tried the Riedel v the Zalto on Sunday, everyone preferred the Zalto…. thinner glass and that superb, pliant feel. Almost like a weird flexible glass.

Everyone that has broken one while washing seems to have broken it by handwashing.....Zalto suggests the dishwasher...

Thanks all. I used to hand wash all my wine glassware but I'm still amazed how much cleaner the dishwasher can get the glasses than I can. Look forward to having a crack with these Zaltos.

Yes, these glasses are stunning! I've transformed my monthly quaffer 2011 Sottimano Langhe Nebbiolo from a wine needing a meal to improve it to a stunning stand-alone ( if needed ) wine, where the classic nebbiolo aromatics are delivered by the glass onto the palate, providing a better texture and flavor than with a previous glass.

Very happy. We lost only the one glass in a shipment of 150 and it has been refunded. Pricing was Austrian recommended retail minus 20 % tax and a 20 % discount plus about 3 euros per glass door to door international airfreight.
