Capel Vale Whispering Hill Riesling 2011

The Whispering Hill wines are consistently the best wines in the CV portfolio, and the Rieslings in particular are some of the best examples of Great Southern Riesling. This is no exception.

Light yellow (not straw) in colour. The faintest whiff of kero over the top of lemon, lime and a little orange blossom. The palate has cleansing but not steely acidity, some orange peel and refreshing lemon lime fruit.

Fruit purity has always been the hallmark of these Rieslings, and this has it in spades. This should easily go another 10 years.

Cheers
