2002 Sevenhill Clare Valley Riesling

2002 Sevenhill Riesling, Clare Valley (screwcap): 12.5% alc. Light yellow. Opens with bright brown limes, sugared biscuits, talc and just a whiff of kerosene and (intruigingly) cracked white pepper in the background, freshening up with breathing to reveal sweeter lemon blossom, vanilla pod and lanolin. The palate structure is delicate and pristine, long, lingering and elegant; at a mere 14 years of age this beauty has a long, long way to go.
