Brisbane (Yeronga)- White Rabbit BYO LIC

Title: White Rabbit

Cuisine: Modern Australian/French- they can design menus to suite your wine
Service: attentive and way better than your average suburban restaurant- like an Ecco in the suburbs
Food: clean style with good options of interesting salads, game and quality cuts of beef cooked perfectly
Value: excellent value- recent menu change that has more mid priced options and I normally have two entrees and find that more than enough to eat. I give them notice and have an excellent cheese platter for dessert
Ambience: not a big restaurant but plenty of space for group wine bookings
Glassware: good glassware but I always take a box of 12 riedels with me for options
Wine list: not good
BYO Details: no problems at all and from memory 8 dollar per bottle corkage
Offline Prospect: outstanding - I have had 6 offlines here with my own glassware- and menu suggestions to match the wine . The owners are more than amicable.

Score: 17/20
Disclosure: I have no interest in the restaurant and it is my local restaurant.

Unfortunately now closed - had my 40th here a couple of months back and it was a great night with some very good food.

A real shame to see one of Brisbane's few good BYO restaurants shut up shop.

What is going on in Queensland? I rang three top Gold Coast restaurants when I was up there and all had closed. There must be about five left ... meanwhile there are lots of refits and expansions in Brissie. If you could turn the temperature down, I might move up there.
