Title: Margans Restaurant

Location – Margans Winery, Hunter Valley LICENSED

Cuisine: Fresh local produce with French overtones
Service: Very good indeed. Attention to detail, and willing to seek out answers to our 'foodie' questions.
Food: Interesting assemblies of flavour and texture. We chose 6 entrees between three of us, and shared. Only one out of 6 drew any criticism at all and it was minor. Very good indeed.
Value: You get what you pay for.
Ambience: Pleasant views from our outdoor table, overlooking vines and some open fields.
Glassware: Very good indeed. Tailored to each glass of wine (we didn't order bottles)
Wine list: Margan wines only

Offline Prospect: If you did a deal with the winery (most probably with the winemaker), then possibly as a separate event

Score: 17/20

That's a shame about the winelist. Used to be a cracker, full of Barolo, Burgundy and some of the beaten track Hunter wines
